Android Tablet Access
Although the iPad® has gained a very large share of the Assistive Technology market, other, predominantly Android based, tablets are gaining popularity and in many cases have superior accessibility to iPad.
The good news is that in the majority of cases, the Pretorian SimplyWorks range works with other tablets, avoiding the need for Bluetooth accessories. For example, plug in a SimplyWorks Receive and a cursor appears and works with all of our wireless trackballs, joysticks, keyboards, and switches. No apps need be loaded!
Furthermore our wired USB products also function when plugged in using a standard micro-USB adaptor such as n-ABLER, Optima, and Orbitrack.
This part of our website will be developed over the coming weeks to give much more information on each tablet, which features it supports, how accessible it is, etc. Please and visit us regularly.
Here is a summary of the tablets we are currently evaluating:
- Google Nexus
- Microsoft Surface
- Motorola Xoom
- Samsung Galaxy
- Kindle Fire
- Sony Tablets
